The Scudders are coming!

October 12 -14, 2018

Come with us this fall as we gather in Boston for our next Annual Meeting and to celebrate Dr. John Scudder and his wife, Harriet, sailing for the far east in 1818 to begin the Scudder’s long tradition of medical missionary service in India which continues to this day.

We are putting together plans for a special family reunion of the Association. We will be staying just a short ferry boat ride from Boston at the beautiful

Our current agenda for Friday Oct 12th will be first to hold the Annual Meeting of the Association. That evening, we will be organizing a dinner at a local restaurant. We will also be treated to a online presentation by Allison Taylor, daughter of Drs. James and Susan Taylor. Allison is the latest Scudder to serve at the Scudder hospitals in India, and she will tell us about her time there earlier this year.

On Saturday we will take the ferry to tour Boston and visit the Old North Church where Dr. John and Harriett Scudder started their journey to become medical missionaries in India.

There will be time for enjoying the warm sun and sandy beach in your spare time as well.

.On Saturday night we will have dinner at the resort with an in person presentation by Honorine Ward, Chair and President of the Vellore CMC Foundation in the US.

Check in at the Hotel starts at 3pm on Friday the 12^th, which will give you have time to relax and refresh yourselves before dinner.

The room rate is very economical at $ 139.99 per night, and you need to make your reservations no later than September 2, 2018 directly with the hotel. You can also book rooms prior to the 12th and stay longer than the 14th, if you wish, for the same room rate (check out time is 11 am). Please mention you are with The Scudder Association for our discount.
