Gordon R. Sherman, June 21, 1937 – August 2, 2017

It is with great sadness to announce we have lost one of our most active and endearing members, Gordon Sherman. We wish to express our deepest sympathies to his wife and lifelong partner, Cy, as well as his children Gordon III, Read, Claudia and the entire Sherman family.

Christmas greeting from the Sherman Family Scudder Association Newsletter, December, 1973

Gordon, Cy and their family were a vital part of the Scudder Association for more than half a century. Their involvement and importance cannot be overstated. During that time Gordon held numerous Board Officer posts and was President of the Association for 3 terms. Gordon’s passing leaves us in awe of how much good one man can do.  He will be missed.

The Scudder Association is in the process of endowing a scholarship in Gordon’s name. Details will be provided after our next Board meeting.

The world is indeed a little colder.
Gordon’s love and compassion was a great source of warmth and comfort.

His presence within our organization will be sorely missed.
