James Taylor Joins CMC Vellore Board

img-doctors-Taylor_James_webDr. James Taylor, continues a long tradition of Scudder service to medicine in India. He was voted to the Board of Directors, for the Vellore CMC Foundation, on May 5th, 2016.

Dr. James Taylor, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, followed by his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed an internship at the University of Virginia Medical Center and served a neurosurgical residency at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed a radiation therapy residency at Ohio State University.

Dr. Taylor’s great grandfather founded the Scudder Memorial Hospital, in Ranipet, India. The History of the hospital dates back to the middle of 19th century when Dr. Silas Downer Scudder started the hospital in Ranipet on 17th March 1866. He was the son of Rev. Dr. John Scudder the first Medical Missionary from America to the East / India.
