Levi Harrington Stewart or Steward born 1808 is not the same person or related to Levi Stewart who is the subject of this article, b. 1812 West Edwardsville, Ill., but grew up in Overton, TN, then moved to Effingham and Vandalia Illinois, to Missouri, and to Quincy and Nauvoo, Illinois from which he migrated west to Winter Quarters , Nebraska and then to the Salt Lake Valley in Utah in 1848. By this you can see the difference between him and Levi Harrington Stewart or Steward, sources below:

Levi H. Steward’s 1840 U.S. Federal census shows him in Wallingord, Rutland, Vermont. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XHY6-437
Levi Steward’s 1850 U.S. Federal Census record shows him in Mount Holly, Rutland, Vermont, a farmer, with his wife Loisa and 7 children https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MC2X-F4P and states he was born in Vermont.
There is additional information about this other unrelated Stewart family in William Richard Cutter, New England Families Genealogical and Memorial (New York, 1915). 4 volumes, 2:790-1. Dr. William Emmett Stewart. It states Daniel, son of Elias Stewart, lived and died in Clarendon, Vermont. Children: Albert Henry, Levi, Daniel.
